Bob tends to play down his work with hovercrafts because his passion now is working and teaching kids how to learn through experience. However, his background as an aeronautical engineer set the stage for his being an effective teacher of science and engineering. He founded Universal Hovercraft which is now owned by his nephew, which sells manufactures hovercraft based on the original design of Bob.
Bob also is the holder of two world records and was featured on the T.V. show "Junkyard Wars". Bob is one of the most generous and cordial people you could ever meet and, if available, will take anyone on a personal hover ride if they come to visit him in Cordova, Illionios, situated on the bank of slough just off of the Mississippi River.
